Delete your Match Referee account and data
This page explains how to ask us to delete your account and associated data for the Android app Match Referee, published on Google Play by 10th Dimension Limited. The app is coming soon; these steps will apply from the day it is released.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. Removing Match Referee from your phone clears the data stored on that device, but your sign-in account and the data saved with it stay in place until you ask us to delete them using the steps below.
1. How to request deletion
- Send an email to contact@muddystuds.com from the email address you use to sign in to Match Referee.
- Use the subject line “Delete my Match Referee account”. You don’t need to give a reason.
- We will check the request comes from the account owner. If you can’t send from your sign-in address, tell us in the email and we will ask you to confirm ownership another way (for example, by clicking a link sent to that address).
- We delete your account and associated data within 30 days of confirming the request, and email you to confirm when it is done.
If you only want to remove some data (for example old fixtures or messages) rather than your whole account, say so in your email and we will help.
2. Data that is deleted
- Your Match Referee sign-in account (email address and password credentials held in Firebase Authentication)
- Your coach or referee profile, availability and app settings
- Fixtures you posted, your bookings and messages about them
- Ratings and feedback linked to your profile
Where you were the other party in a booking, the other user’s own record of that fixture may still show that the booking took place, without your profile details.
3. Data that may be kept, and for how long
- Server and security logs that may reference your account are kept for up to 30 days after deletion and then removed.
- Google Play records (such as your install history and any purchases) are held by Google under its own retention rules, not by us.
- Our email exchange about your request is kept as a short record that we carried it out, for up to 12 months, unless the law requires longer.
4. Data on your device
Data stored only on your phone is removed when you uninstall Match Referee or clear the app’s storage in Android Settings. We cannot reach data on your device, so please do this yourself if you also want it gone from the phone.
