Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to this website (www.matchreferee.co.uk) and, once it is released, the Match Referee Android app. Match Referee is provided by 10th Dimension Limited as part of MuddyStuds (“we”, “us”). By using this site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. The service

Match Referee helps grassroots football coaches post fixtures and book referees, and helps referees find and claim games that suit them. The app is coming soon and is not yet available to download. This website provides product information only.

Match Referee is a booking tool. We do not employ, appoint or supervise referees, and we are not a party to the arrangement between a coach and a referee. Match Referee is not an official league, county FA or referee appointment system, and it does not replace any appointment, registration or safeguarding requirement that applies to your match.

3. Price

Match Referee is free for referees. Coaches may be offered paid plans; any price will be shown clearly in the app before you pay, and payments will be handled by Google Play under its terms. Match fees agreed between a coach and a referee are a matter between them.

4. Eligibility

Match Referee is intended for coaches, club volunteers and match officials aged 18 and over who are able to enter a binding agreement in their country.

5. Your responsibilities

• Use this site and, when available, the app lawfully and in line with the rules of your league, county FA or association.
• Give accurate information about yourself, your qualifications and your fixtures.
• Turn up to games you have accepted, or cancel in good time.
• Leave honest, fair ratings and treat other users with respect.
• Do not add information about individual players, especially children.
• Do not reverse engineer, abuse or attempt to disrupt the app, this website or related services.

6. Intellectual property

Match Referee, its name, logo and related materials are owned by us or our licensors. When the app is released, you will receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it in line with these Terms. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the app or our branding except as allowed by law or the rules of the app store you download it from.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep this site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned features and release timings may change as the product develops. We may update these Terms, particularly when the app is released; the “Last updated” date will change when we do.

8. Disclaimer

This website and, when available, Match Referee are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that a referee will be found for any fixture or that a booked referee will attend.

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, a referee or coach not turning up, or disputes between users. Our total liability arising from use of Match Referee or this site is limited to the greater of £50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
